• Provides the foundational education for students whose primary focus is a career in EMS, ideal for firefighters, law enforcement personnel, athletic trainers, emergency response team members in the industrial setting, and emergency management personnel.
• Upon successful completion of the EMR or EMT course, students will be eligible to sit for the National Registry and State of Kansas certification exam.

• Prepares students for transfer to a college/university to complete a bachelor’s degree.
• Students can choose elective classes from five Exercise Science fields: Athletic Training, Coaching, Health/Fitness, Physical Education, and Sports Management.
• After completing the exercise science program, students will be able to take a national exam and work in fitness centers to train clients.

• Prepares students for transfer to a college/university to complete a bachelor’s degree.
• Possible careers that will require a bachelor’s degree include physical therapy, exercise science, exercise physiologists, fitness and wellness coordinators, and coaches.

• Prepares students for a wide range of healthcare roles in a variety of clinical and office settings,
• The program consists of two semesters of coursework, followed by a 180-hour externship in a medical setting, providing valuable hands-on experience in a real-world environment..
• Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for one of the following national certification exams: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).

• Prepares graduates to pass the National Board Examination (NBE) and to deliver quality funeral, cremation, and memorial services with professionalism, integrity, and compassion. Students will learn to prepare a decedent through embalming or cremation, arrange and direct funeral services, interact with the grieving, and follow legal aspects of the funeral service industry.
• The program includes coursework, two practicums, and an apprenticeship to provide hands-on experience and preparation for licensure and career success.
• The KCKCC Mortuary Science program has more than 50 years of experience educating future funeral professionals. It has a strong track record of graduates achieving high scores on the National Board exam, and is led by compassionate funeral professionals dedicated to training the next generation.

• In addition to hands-on clinical experiences in a variety of healthcare settings, nursing students also spend time each semester in the KCKCC simulation center, providing the opportunity to practice clinical skills in a safe learning environment.  
• In 2011, KCKCC partnered with the University of Kansas (KU) to develop the Community College Nurse Partnership program, the first of its kind anywhere in the country. This program allows students to simultaneously complete their associate and bachelor’s degrees through on-campus courses at KCKCC and online classes through KU.

• Prepares students to pass the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and earn certification as a Paramedic.
• Applicants must obtain Kansas EMT Certification in order to apply to the program.
• Upon passing the NREMT and earning certification, graduates can enter the workforce as paramedics, firefighters, flight paramedics, and critical care paramedics. Graduates can also pursue further education to become a registered nurse through KCKCC’s articulation program.

• The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program, along with the general education requirements of the college, is structured around one goal—producing competent, compassionate, and board-certified physical therapist assistants. 
• Students will gain hands-on experience through clinical rotations in a variety of healthcare settings. The program has partnerships with more than 130 sites across a variety of settings for student placement in clinicals.
• Students who complete the program are eligible to apply to take the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) for PTA licensure in all 50 states.

• Prepares students for transfer to a college/university to complete a bachelor’s degree – students should check specific requirements of the pharmacy school where they plan to apply and work closely with academic advisors at KCKCC and transfer college/university.

• Upon passing the NBRC-TMC and becoming a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), graduates work in a variety of settings including emergency departments, intensive care units, rehabilitation, cardiology, pulmonary labs, sleep labs, and home care. 
• Training includes a variety of coursework and clinical experience, focusing on critical thinking, decision making, critical care, neonatal, and pediatric content.
• Upon completion of the program, students will be able to demonstrate the knowledge and critical reasoning skills necessary to pass the NBRC-TMC exam.
